Hi, my name is Patrick Davis and I am currently the Principal of a great little community named Our Lady of Dolours School. We are situated in Mitchelton, Brisbane. I have a passion for Catholic Education and to be perfectly honest, could not imagine myself being involved in any other career.

My Catholic School leadership is underpinned by a commitment to the message of the Gospel and the values it espouses.  The promotion of a Catholic school identity is very important work for me as is developing a learning community that is distinctively Catholic. I have an energy for curriculum implementation and the organisational capacities of teachers that allow them to engage with different levels of curriculum in order to create high expectations and optimum outcomes for students. With Jesus as my guide, I seek to demonstrate a commitment to effective and respectful collaborative relationships with students, families and staff.

I firmly believe that the intellectual development of a child and their growth as a Christian go hand in hand. I work for a system of education that brings faith, life and culture together in harmony. Let’s face it… we are now well into the third millennium and the young people in my care must be a source of energy and leadership well into the future. It makes sense then that schools provide our young people with an academically rigorous curriculum where the development of learning excellence, informed by current technologies, is acknowledged, promoted and celebrated at every opportunity possible.
